Cybersecurity Project Manager ( GDPR )

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive GDPR compliance program tailored to the specific needs of the organization.

2. Conduct thorough assessments of existing data processing activities and ensure alignment with GDPR requirements.

3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify and address areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.

4. Serve as the primary point of contact for data protection authorities, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders on GDPR-related matters.

5. Provide guidance and support to teams across the organization on data protection best practices and GDPR requirements.

6. Monitor changes in GDPR regulations and ensure timely updates to policies, procedures, and practices.

7. Conduct regular audits and assessments to measure the effectiveness of the GDPR compliance program and identify areas for improvement.

8. Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of GDPR requirements and promote a culture of data privacy within the organization.

9. Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure that contracts and agreements with third parties comply with GDPR requirements.

10. Prepare and maintain documentation, including data protection impact assessments, data processing agreements, and records of processing activities.

Required Technical Skill Set:

• Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of GDPR regulations and data protection principles, with previous experience implementing GDPR compliance programs preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret legal requirements and translate them into practical solutions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
• Familiarity with data management technologies and practices, including data classification, encryption, and anonymization.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders to drive change and achieve compliance objectives.

Good-to-Have:

• PMP/Prince2 external certification.
