Role Summary

Ethical Hacking

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver engaging

    live sessions

    (virtual/classroom) on:
    • Security Essentials: networking, OS (Windows/Linux) hardening, identity/IAM, SIEM basics, cloud security fundamentals (AWS/Azure), incident response.
    • Ethical Hacking: recon, scanning, exploitation basics, web/app security (OWASP Top 10), network attacks, privilege escalation, post-exploitation, reporting & remediation.
  • Build and maintain

    hands-on labs

    (VM/Kali-based and cloud labs), exercises, quizzes, and capstone projects.
  • Create/update

    curriculum & slides

    aligned to MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, CIS Controls; version and improve content from feedback.
  • Evaluate learner progress; run

    practicals, CTFs, and assessments

    ; coach for interviews/certifications.
  • Ensure

    legal & ethical

    boundaries (authorized targets only, responsible disclosure).
  • Collaborate with SOC/Red Team/Cloud teams to keep content current; incorporate recent case studies.
  • Report on training KPIs: completion, average scores, job-readiness, satisfaction (CSAT/NPS).

Required Qualifications

  • ~3 years in security (SOC/Blue Team, AppSec, Pentest, or SecOps) with

    training/mentoring exposure

    .
  • Strong fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS/HTTP, Linux/Windows internals, AD basics, VPN/Firewalls/WAF, logging.
  • Practical tooling:

    Kali, Nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite/ZAP, Metasploit, Nessus/OpenVAS

    , basic scripting (

    Python/PowerShell/Bash

    ).
  • SIEM familiarity (e.g.,

    Splunk/Microsoft Sentinel/ELK

    ) and incident triage basics.
  • Clear communication, structured lesson delivery, and learner empathy.

  • Security Essentials (24–40 hrs):

    Networking, OS hardening, Identity/IAM, Secure configuration (CIS), Vulnerability management, SIEM & detections, IR runbook basics, Cloud security primer.
  • Ethical Hacking (30–50 hrs):

    Recon & threat modeling, Scanning/Enumeration, Web app attacks (

    OWASP Top 10

    ), Network attacks, Windows/Linux priv-esc labs, Payloads & OPSEC, Post-exploitation & lateral movement (lab-safe), Reporting & remediation.
  • Capstone:

    End-to-end engagement simulation: scope test on approved lab write professional report with PoC and fixes.
