As a Security Software Dev Engineer at EY, you will play a crucial role in developing horizontal enterprise-level security solutions. Your primary focus will be on delivering key workstreams of the "Secure by Default" initiative to secure applications & APIs during design and runtime. You will also contribute to building reusable software solutions to enhance application security, protect data, detect threats using AI, and implement controls to safeguard Clients" assets. **Key Responsibilities:** - Hands-on development of scalable, highly secure, and high-performing solutions - Developing security solutions for Application, API, and Platform security - Contributing to team charter, strategy, and roadmap for achieving business objectives - Implementing the latest technologies to optimize architecture and challenge the status quo - Collaborating effectively to define requirements, influence design decisions, and drive solution adoption - Creating quick proof of concepts to address critical issues and demonstrate value **Qualifications Required:** - 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Python - Proficiency in Agile development practices - Building reusable Python modules for application developers - Design and development experience with web applications and APIs - Strong debugging skills to identify performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and bugs - Understanding of API access patterns and Authentication & Authorization controls using OAuth - Familiarity with secure design and development practices, including SAST & DAST - Experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud Platform At EY, the focus is on creating long-term value for clients, people, and society to build a better working world.
