Cutting list Engineer/Cutting list specialist

You should have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in the furniture industry to be considered for the role of Cutting List Specialist/Cutting List Engineer. Candidates without experience in the furniture industry need not apply. As a Cutting List Specialist/Cutting List Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to prepare accurate and detailed cutting lists for all furniture components based on design drawings. This includes ensuring that the dimensions, materials, and quantities are correct and provided for production. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze furniture design drawings, shop drawings, or CAD layouts. - Break down complete furniture items into individual parts that require cutting. - Create cutting lists with precise dimensions, materials, edge treatments, and quantities. - Optimize material usage to minimize wastage. - Coordinate with the design team and production team to clarify discrepancies and ensure smooth fabrication. - Meet production deadlines by providing cutting lists on time. - Update cutting lists in case of design changes or site measurements. Skills Required: - Strong understanding of furniture construction and joinery. - Ability to interpret technical drawings. - Knowledge of various materials used in furniture making. - Attention to detail and accuracy. - Proficiency in basic computer software like AutoCAD, Excel, and ERP systems. - Excellent coordination and communication skills.
