Project Role :Custom Software Engineer

Project Role Description :Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.

, Summary A ClearCase Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the ClearCase version control environment, ensuring smooth collaboration across development teams and adherence to SCM best practices. Roles & Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade ClearCase servers and clients

Manage VOBs (Versioned Object Bases) and views

Handle user access control and permissions

Troubleshoot issues related to views, VOBs, and synchronization

Perform regular backups and recovery of ClearCase repositories

Support developers with branching, merging, and labeling strategies

Monitor and optimize performance of ClearCase infrastructure

Integrate ClearCase with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and ClearQuest

Maintain license servers and enforce usage policies

Provide training and support to users on ClearCase fundamentals Professional &
Technical Experience

IBM Rational ClearCase (Base & UCM) administration

ClearQuest integration and support

Software Configuration Management (SCM) principles

Scripting languages:Perl, Python, Bash, Shell

Version control strategies:branching, labeling, merging

Build and release management tools:Jenkins, Maven, Hudson

Defect tracking systems:Jira, Bugzilla

Unix/Linux system administration

Backup and disaster recovery for ClearCase repositories

Performance tuning and troubleshooting ClearCase environments

Multisite synchronization and packet management Soft
Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
