Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic professional who can identify, develop, and shape long-term custom manufacturing opportunities within the specialty chemicals . The role requires a rare combination of technical knowledge, business acumen, and relationship management skills . The individual will work closely with clients, R&D, and Production teams to convert ideas into sustainable and profitable business partnerships. Key Responsibilities Identify and evaluate new custom manufacturing opportunities within the specialty chemicals Engage with customers to understand technical needs, product specifications, and long-term requirements. Collaborate with internal R&D to assess technical feasibility and develop tailored solutions. Work with Production and Operations to ensure scalability, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery. Build strong and enduring client relationships, positioning the company as a trusted partner. Conduct market analysis to anticipate emerging trends, applications, and competitive landscape. Develop business cases, negotiate contracts, and ensure commercial viability of projects. Drive sustainable growth by creating a pipeline of long-term custom manufacturing projects. Candidate Profile Qualification: BE/MSc in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry; MBA preferred but not mandatory. Experience: 1018+ years in Business Development, Custom Manufacturing, or Strategic Sales within Chemicals (preferably specialty chemicals, aromatics, or specialty intermediates). Strong understanding of chemical processes, production economics, and technology evaluation. Proven track record in converting technical opportunities into long-term business deals. Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, Production, and external clients.
