As the leader of production at Magical Nest, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our custom kids" furniture manufacturing process. Your role will involve managing people, machines, materials, and quality to ensure the timely and defect-free delivery of our products. Your key responsibilities will include planning, scheduling, and supervising all production lines including beds/lofts, wardrobes, study units, and play modules. You will drive manpower efficiency by balancing production lines, setting daily targets, managing shift rosters, controlling overtime, and providing inputs for salary calculations. Ensuring quality control at every stage of production according to drawings, specifications, and Magical Nest standards will be crucial, along with maintaining and optimizing the performance of various machines and utilities in the factory. Expertise in handling MDF/HDF materials, knowledge of modern woodworking machinery, and familiarity with finishes, hardware, and joinery will be essential for this role. You will also be responsible for material control, safety compliance, maintaining production MIS reports, and training operators to adhere to standard operating procedures. Strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are highly valued in this position. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in managing interior/furniture factories or workshops, hands-on experience with MDF materials, and a good understanding of woodworking processes. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and basic ERP systems is required, while prior experience in kids" furniture manufacturing or exposure to lean manufacturing principles would be advantageous.
