Greetings from Aarvi Encon Job Description: Manager - International Trade Position: Manager, International Trade Location: Navi Mumbai Reports To: Vice President- Operations Department: International Trade / Supply Chain Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of International Trade to oversee and manage the entire export and import documentation process. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage international trade operations effectively. You will work closely with a qualified Customs & Freight (C&F) agency, ensuring smooth transactions, regulatory compliance, and on-time deliveries for our customers, both in India and third countries. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the complete export and import documentation process, ensuring compliance with all international trade laws and regulations. Collaborate with a qualified C&F agency to ensure smooth logistics and adherence to delivery timelines. Place Purchase Orders (POs) with international suppliers and ensure that all relevant documentation is accurate and complete. Track orders and shipments to ensure timely deliveries to customers in India and third-party countries. Liaise with customs authorities to resolve any issues or delays with shipments, ensuring that all shipments are cleared on time. Monitor and analyze supply chain activities to optimize delivery timelines and cost efficiency. Prepare regular reports on trade activities, logistics, and customs compliance for senior management. Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Procurement, and Logistics) to address and resolve any cross-functional challenges. Ensure compliance with international trade policies, tariffs, and regulations. Maintain relationships with international suppliers, shipping companies, and customs officials to streamline trade processes. Provide guidance and support to team members on best practices in international trade and customs procedures. Qualifications and Requirements: Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in International Trade or a related field. Proven experience in managing international trade, export/import documentation, and dealing with customs processes. In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements. Strong experience in placing Purchase Orders (POs) and managing international shipments. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively coordinate with international partners, customers, and stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficient in using trade management software, MS Office Suite, and other related tools. Preferred Skills: Experience working in industries like manufacturing, logistics, or global supply chain for atleast 5 years. Additional certifications related to international trade or customs compliance would be a plus. Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and organizational skills. Proactive and results-driven approach to managing tasks and solving problems. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and process improvement.

Role & responsibilities: Import Documentation: Review and verify import documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and Bill of entry. Customs Compliance: Ensure compliance with customs regulations, duty payments. and other changes in law. Invoice verification and posting: Verify and posting of import & export invoices, freight and CHA, ocean charges invoices with accuracy and completeness. Processing payment as per the due date. Duty and Tax Calculation: Calculate duties, taxes, and other charges associated with imports. Accounting of local purchase parking and posting with DN/CN if required. Accounting and Reconciliation: Record and reconcile import transactions, including accounts payable, customs duties, and taxes. Audit and Compliance: Assist with audits and ensure compliance with company policies and customs regulations. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze reports on import costs, freight cost, duties, and taxes. Forex accounting and exchange rate knowledge. MTM Working and JV entry. Knowledge of intercompany accounting and reconciliation. Goods in transit (GIT) calculation and accounting Month end closing and provisioning. Review and clearing of open GRIR and purchase order. Vendor balance confirmation and reconciliation. Coordination and interaction with Plants team. Candidate must have experience in SAP Preferred candidate profile: minimum 5 - 7 years in import accounting, customs compliance, or a related field and domestic finished goods accounting. Strong knowledge of customs regulations, accounting principles, and import procedures. Knowledge of SAP -FICO and MS-office
