Overall responsibility : Director, Enterprise Technology and Architecture is a visionary leader responsible for driving operational excellence, innovation, automation, and efficiency across the CUDX organization's technology ecosystem. This strategic role oversees multiple domains including technology performance enhancement, quality management, process optimization, and digital transformation initiatives. The position requires a forward-thinking approach to align technology capabilities with business objectives, optimize resource utilization, and foster a culture of continuous improvement that delivers exceptional technology solutions. Essential Functions: Strategic Leadership & Technology Direction Develop and execute enterprise-wide technology optimization strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate innovation Establish measurable performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate technology effectiveness across the organization Provide executive-level guidance on technology investments, modernization efforts, and strategic planning Drive digital transformation initiatives that leverage emerging technologies to create competitive advantages Lead cross-functional collaborations between technology domains including Data Ingestion, Business Analysis, DevOps, and Software Development Quality & Process Excellence Design and implement comprehensive quality management frameworks that span the entire technology lifecycle Oversee the development of testing strategies that ensure robust, reliable, and secure technology solutions Foster a culture of quality that permeates all aspects of technology development and deployment Identify opportunities for process automation and standardization to improve productivity and reduce errors Technology Performance Optimization Lead initiatives to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability across the technology stack Oversee technology architecture reviews to identify and address inefficiencies, redundancies, and bottlenecks Drive cloud optimization strategies that balance performance, cost, and security considerations Implement monitoring and analytics solutions that provide actionable insights into technology performance Direct capacity planning and resource optimization to ensure technology infrastructure meets current and future business needs Talent & Team Development Build and lead high-performing teams across multiple technology disciplines Mentor and develop technology leaders who can drive innovation and operational excellence Create career development pathways that attract and retain top technology talent Foster a collaborative culture that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning Establish centers of excellence that promote specialized expertise and innovation Executive Partnership & Stakeholder Management Partner with executives to align technology optimization initiatives with business strategies Translate complex technical concepts into business value for diverse stakeholders Develop and present compelling business cases for technology investments and improvement initiatives Build strong relationships with business units to understand their needs and drive technology solutions Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior leadership and board members POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles 5+ years of executive-level experience leading enterprise-wide technology initiatives Experience in financial services industry strongly preferred Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation and technology optimization programs Technical Expertise Comprehensive understanding of enterprise technology architecture and infrastructure Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably Azure), data management systems, and modern software development methodologies Proficiency with data analytics platforms, like Snowflake Expertise in technology performance management, monitoring, and optimization techniques Understanding of quality assurance methodologies, testing frameworks, and automation approaches Leadership Competencies Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans Proven track record of leading organizational change and technology transformation Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization Strong analytical capabilities with data-driven decision-making approach Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex, enterprise-wide challenges Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, changing environments Collaborative leadership style that fosters cross-functional partnerships WORKING CONDITIONS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
