As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Java, Cucumber.js, and Playwright. Your primary tasks will include conducting functional and non-functional testing for web and enterprise applications, performing API and Web Services testing, as well as creating, executing, and maintaining test scripts and test cases. You will also be involved in multi-threaded and parallel test executions. Collaboration with development and DevOps teams for CI/CD integration using tools like Jenkins, GitHub, or VSS is a key aspect of the role. You will be required to validate system behavior under various configurations across Windows and Linux platforms and work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle) for backend data validation. Tracking and reporting defects to ensure high-quality releases will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must possess at least 5-12 years of experience in software testing, encompassing both manual and automation testing. Proficiency in Selenium with Java, TestNG, and automation frameworks is a must. Experience in API testing, including REST and SOAP, along with working knowledge of Playwright and Cucumber.js is highly desirable. A strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing metrics, SQL queries, and database testing is essential. Additionally, exposure to release automation tools like Jenkins, GitHub, or VSS and excellent debugging and problem-solving skills are key requirements. Good communication, teamwork, and adaptability are also crucial for success in this position. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of cloud-based testing or containerized environments and possession of an ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
