You will be responsible for efficiently managing the Environment Management System and Sustainability Initiatives in the Paint Manufacturing unit to drive continuous improvement in line with the established policy of Asian Paints. Your key areas of work will include managing the Effluent Treatment Plant, Sewage Treatment Plant, water treatment plants like Softener Plant, RO-MEE, and DI plant. You will also be responsible for Hazardous & Non-Hazardous Waste management, compliance with all identified Legal requirements pertaining to Environment, and adherence to Environment Management System and ISO14001. Furthermore, you will define, design, and manage effective Environment Management Plans & Sustainability targets, as well as execute CSR projects related to Water Conservation to achieve water neutrality for the organization. Managing waste movement, Scrap Sale process, financial expenditures, and liaising with statutory authorities will also be part of your responsibilities. You will lead the environment team, develop plans for Continuous Improvement in Environment Management System, and ensure timely renewal of all applicable consents and compliance to legal requirements. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, a B.Tech/M.Tech in Environmental Engineering, and a PGDISEM from NITIE. Your performance will be evaluated based on various Key Performance Indicators such as timely renewal of consents, compliance to legal requirements, establishment of processes for adherence to new legislation, and achievement of targets like Zero Effluent Generation, Zero Solid Waste Generation, and Specific Water Consumption.
