Drive customer complaint resolution using 8D, RCA, and CAPA; handle customer interactions and maintain customer scorecards and KPIs . Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process flow charts, and quality documentation. Establish, track, and improve quality KPIs for production and quality teams. Build, mentor, and lead the quality team; design and conduct quality training programs for employees at all levels to enhance quality awareness and ownership. Ensure in-process inspections, incoming material quality checks, and outgoing product quality compliance. Collaborate with production, design, procurement, and supply chain teams for continuous improvement initiatives. Manage customer audits, factory visits, and maintain strong relationships with customers. As a Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in wire harness products, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all products meet the highest standards set by customers, regulatory bodies, and IATF 16949 requirements. Your role involves developing and implementing effective quality assurance processes, systems, and controls to maintain the quality of wire harness products. Quality Planning & Documentation: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Control Plans, PFMEAs, and Process Flow Diagrams. Additionally, you will support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions for new and modified parts. Your role will also involve assisting in customer-specific requirements and quality documentation. Process & Product Audits: Conducting layered process audits (LPA), internal audits, and dock audits will be part of your responsibilities. You will implement statistical process control (SPC) and take corrective actions when control limits are exceeded. Reviewing first article inspection (FAI) and in-process inspection records will also be essential. Problem Solving & Corrective Actions: You will lead root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Why. Coordinating corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for customer complaints, in-house rejections, and supplier issues will be crucial. Driving a zero-defect culture and implementing mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) strategies are key aspects of this role. Supplier & Incoming Quality: Monitoring the incoming quality inspection of terminals, wires, connectors, and tapes is vital. Qualifying and auditing suppliers for adherence to quality standards will also be part of your duties. Coordinating with suppliers for Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) processes is essential for maintaining quality standards. Compliance & Documentation: Ensuring adherence to quality systems such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements is crucial. Maintaining calibration records and gauge control will be part of your responsibilities. You will also participate in Management Review Meetings and submit quality performance data regularly. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Monitoring Customer PPM target, internal rejection rate, audit NC closures on time, PPAP & APQP deliverables on time, and supplier quality improvement metrics will be important for evaluating your performance. Qualifications & Experience: A Bachelor's/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial) is required. You should have at least 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance in wire harness or automotive parts manufacturing. Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, and FMEA is essential, along with experience in using measurement instruments like Vernier, Multimeter, and Crimp Pull Tester. Skills Required: You should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, Minitab, or other quality tools is necessary. Excellent documentation and communication skills are vital, along with experience in handling customer interactions such as OEM quality audits. Preferred Certifications: Having certifications such as IATF 16949 Internal Auditor and Six Sigma Green Belt (optional) would be advantageous for this role.
