As a Civil Design Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to develop and manage civil design drawings for substation and transmission line projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This includes preparing grading plans, site layout, profiles, cross-sections, corridors, earthwork calculations, and drainage designs. You will collaborate closely with civil, structural, and electrical engineers to integrate civil drawings seamlessly into the overall project design. In this role, you will also support route selection and perform topographical and geotechnical analysis for transmission lines. You will be involved in creating construction drawings, plan and profile sheets, alignment sheets, and material take-offs. It will be important for you to interpret and apply industry codes and standards such as IS, IEC, IEEE, ACI, and ASTM to ensure compliance with regulations. Additionally, you will coordinate with survey teams to validate terrain models and ensure the accuracy of input data. Site visits, feasibility studies, and participation in technical meetings will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will also focus on ensuring the timely delivery of drawings and documentation in alignment with project requirements.
