As the Manufacturing Manager at our plant in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful operations of the facility. Your responsibilities will include the general supervision of all phases of production, ensuring quality control, managing equipment maintenance, overseeing procurement, receiving, and shipping processes. You will also be accountable for recruiting, hiring, and training personnel, as well as maintaining the facility and physical plant. Key Requirements: - Utilize your experience in production engineering and manufacturing, particularly with high precision and high accuracy parts. - Demonstrate expertise in developing new production and manufacturing processes. - Implement and maintain quality assurance systems within the plant. - Experience in assembling special purpose machines would be advantageous. - Provide suggestions for machines in the production process, alternative materials, and inspection methods to enhance accuracy and reduce costs. - Showcase technical and engineering acumen along with excellent communication and presentation skills. - Hands-on experience with cutting tools, selection of cutting parameters, special heat treatment processes, and surface treatment and coating processes. - Proficiency in surface finish fits and tolerances, CNC machine setup, operation, and programming. - Knowledge of the latest fabrication, welding, and metal joining processes, as well as jigs and fixtures for manufacturing precision components. - Ability to interpret engineering drawings, particularly precision components, and manage cross-functional teams effectively. - Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
