Job Title: Junior Architect Construction Location: Thane (Wagle Estate) Department: Architecture / Project Execution Experience Required: 3 to 6 years (Construction Industry) Reporting To: Senior Architect / Project Head Employment Type: Full-Time Job Purpose: To support the end-to-end architectural planning and execution of construction projectsensuring timely delivery of detailed drawings, coordination with stakeholders, and adherence to design, technical, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review detailed architectural drawings, working plans, sections, and elevations using AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp. Coordinate design intent with site execution teams, ensuring work aligns with approved drawings. Participate in client and consultant meetings, capturing requirements and incorporating feedback into design revisions. Prepare 3D models, renderings, and presentation layouts for design proposals. Ensure all architectural designs comply with local building codes, bye-laws, FSI norms, DCR, fire safety, and accessibility regulations. Collaborate with civil, MEP, and structural teams for coordinated drawings and clash resolution. Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and quality, providing design clarification to site engineers as needed. Assist in preparing documents for statutory approvals (Municipal, RERA, Environmental, Fire NOC, etc.). Coordinate with vendors, material suppliers, and contractors for design detailing and execution requirements. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized university. Registration with the Council of Architecture (COA) is preferred. Key Skills & Tools: Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, MS Office; knowledge of Photoshop, Lumion, or Twinmotion is an advantage. Knowledge of construction detailing, material specifications, and technical standards. Strong understanding of building codes, FSI calculations, DCR norms, and approval processes. Ability to manage drawing documentation and version control. Excellent communication, coordination, and project tracking skills. Strong site coordination and problem-solving ability. Preferred Project Experience: Residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments. Experience in both design studio and site-based architectural execution roles. Duties and Responsibilities Works under limited supervision. Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content. Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.). Develops and maintains HVAC system designs, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts, ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers, to coordinate HVAC systems integration within the overall building design. Performs clash detection and resolution using BIM software to identify and resolve conflicts between HVAC systems and other building components. Participates in client meetings and presentations to discuss HVAC design concepts, challenges, and solutions. Stays current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulations related to HVAC design and BIM implementation. Contributes to the development and maintenance of company HVAC design standards and BIM templates. Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 7+ years of experience in HVAC design and BIM implementation. Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Experience with other software like Revizto and MicroStation is a plus. Thorough understanding of HVAC systems, building codes, and industry standards. Proven ability to manage complex BIM projects from concept to completion. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ability to mentor and train junior staff on BIM best practices. Familiarity with sustainable design principles and energy modeling software. Professional certification such as PE, LEED AP, or ASHRAE certification is preferred. Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools and project management software. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in HVAC and BIM.
