Job Description – Service Engineer / Manager (Automobile) Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and proactive Service Engineer/Manager to manage end-to-end service operations, technical complaint resolution, channel partner development, and spare parts management. The role involves providing service support to strategic customers, ensuring service process compliance, and driving customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and training initiatives. Key Responsibilities Technical Complaint Analysis & Rectification Analyze and resolve vehicle complaints reported in the field. Overhaul aggregates and rectify defects to maintain performance standards. Manage internet-based warranty systems and ensure accurate documentation. Service Operations & Process Implementation Ensure strict implementation of service processes at channel partners. Develop and strengthen the secondary service channel network. Conduct regular visits to Authorized Service Centers (ASC) to monitor performance along with ASC coordinators. Conduct monthly service camps and update customer feedback in the M Response system. Customer & Channel Partner Engagement Provide timely feedback on company and competitor products. Develop special service support strategies for key customers in collaboration with channel partners. Guide channel partners on manpower, facility, and equipment optimization. Ensure workshop profitability at channel partner level. Spare Parts Management Ensure execution of spare parts orders by channel partners to maintain adequate inventory. Drive secondary network development for spare parts sales. Monitor and manage spare parts inventory levels to meet business targets. Training & Development Train service managers and channel partner teams to strengthen technical and process adherence. Support skill enhancement through workshops and training programs. Reporting & MIS Provide timely and accurate MIS on service operations and performance. Track and monitor service guarantee compliance at dealerships. Share monthly ASC visit reports and customer engagement updates. Desired Candidate Profile Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering. Experience: 3–8 years in Automobile Service Operations, preferably in passenger/commercial vehicle segment. Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, aggregates, and diagnostics. Experience in handling warranty systems, service processes, and channel partner operations. Good analytical skills with ability to provide feedback for product improvement. Excellent communication, customer handling, and training skills. Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/CRM systems, and MIS reporting.
