As a Neurosurgical Nurse, you will be responsible for various tasks throughout the surgical process. Your Pre-Operative Duties will include preparing the operating room and surgical instruments specific to neurosurgical procedures, ensuring proper sterilization and availability of tools, verifying patient identity and consent, and assisting in patient positioning to ensure neurological safety. During the surgery, your Intra-Operative Duties will involve assisting surgeons as a scrub or circulating nurse, maintaining strict aseptic techniques, monitoring and managing OT equipment, and documenting sponge/instrument counts and intraoperative events accurately. After the surgery, your Post-Operative Duties will include safely transferring the patient to the recovery room, assisting in cleaning and preparing the OT for the next surgery, and monitoring and documenting patient vitals and surgical outcomes. To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of neuroanatomy and neurosurgical procedures, be skilled in handling OT equipment, possess excellent teamwork, communication, and crisis-handling skills, be knowledgeable about infection control and patient safety protocols, and have the ability to work effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments. This is a Full-time position with benefits such as health insurance, paid sick time, and Provident Fund. The work schedule includes rotational shifts, and proficiency in English is required.
