Credit Analyst - Mid Market Segment

We are looking for a highly driven and analytically strong Credit Analyst to join our Mid-Market Team at GetVantage. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating new-age, fast-growing companies and structuring credit solutions that align with our venture debt and revenue-based financing models. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in credit underwriting, preferably within venture debt, SME lending, fintech, NBFCs, or similar alternate lending platforms. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting in-depth financial analysis, due diligence, and structuring deals that support the growth journeys of modern businesses. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct preliminary screening of fresh applications and perform detailed financial analysis and background verification according to GetVantage policies and TAT guidelines. - Lead data collection from clients at various stages of the credit process to ensure a smooth flow of information. - Collaborate with the Deal Manager to conduct thorough due diligence covering financial, business, and industry-specific assessments. - Prepare comprehensive credit proposals with financial, business model, and risk analysis for management review. - Work closely with the Deal Manager to structure deals and refine proposals. - Perform industry, sector, and competitive benchmarking analysis regularly to assess market dynamics, success factors, and potential risks. - Engage in short-term projects or process improvements to enhance efficiency and execution quality within the credit and underwriting function. Key Requirements: - Chartered Accountant (CA) or finance professional with at least 2 years of relevant credit underwriting experience. - Strong proficiency in financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and credit risk evaluation. - Familiarity with new-age business models such as SaaS, D2C, digital platforms, and tech-driven companies. - Proficient in MS Excel and capable of handling large financial datasets. - Ability to conduct primary and secondary market research to evaluate industry trends and success drivers. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly. - Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with strong independent judgment on credit matters. - Self-starter who can manage deadlines effectively without extensive supervision.
