About The Role
- The Creative Copywriter works closely with the extended Embed Marketing team as part of a global marketing team comprised of Creative Directors, Event Marketing, Media, Advertising and PR, to wordsmith all marketing messaging and copywriting. You will report directly to the Global Marketing Director and work collaboratively with the rest of the Embed Marketing team.
- You must be able to work well independently and as part of a team, striking a balance between quality and quantity for an audience of partners, customers, and media.
- You will produce various copy requirements, both long and short-form, like the following, but not limited to:
- Website content (blog articles, customer case studies, etc.)
- Branding and messaging copy for campaigns, events, new products, etc.
- EDMs or emailers for events, releases, announcements, and other communications
- Media releases
- C-Suite keynotes
- Social media content
- Information snacks
- Ads and SEO requirements
- Customer testimonials
- Video scripts
This role requires a strong sense of intellectual curiosity (replicating best practices from other hyper-competitive industries and applying them to the family entertainment and amusement space). You will participate in the marketing strategy and brainstorming process, as the owner of the ongoing messaging strategy and corporate narrative.
Working alongside Creative Directors on the evolution of overall messaging (and creative). Exceptional writing skills is a must (combined with motivation and attention to detail).This is a maternity leave cover position from January to March 2026.Key Responsibilities
- Working with Global Marketing Director to architect the creative messaging based on the corporate strategic narrative (to amplify, build, and extend ongoing leadership position).
- Craft creative headlines and campaign slogans (creative side of copywriting)
- Technical writing (in the active voice and 3rd person) of press materials, case studies, and marketing assets.
- Working closely with the wider Embed marketing team to understand marketing initiatives that require copywriting support. Prioritising projects. Managing timelines and project schedule.
- Develop creative messaging and positioning for new product launches, from product naming to headlines, press releases, and feature naming conventions.
- Develop case studies by working closely with customers and documenting their journey and experience with the product.
- Writing short-form blogs; responsible for developing blogs (the blog schedule and execution thereof)
- Work with marketing and sales team on tactical messaging at on-ground events.
- Design and develop Pillar Content
- Conducting light market research on key social movements and consumer trends that informs the writing process.
- Maintain a schedule of work, including planning, outline, and synopsis of all writing projects.
- Attending feedback sessions and making revisions suggested by the Global Marketing Director and Marketing Team.
- Assisting in the development of marketing content for educational seminars and events including keynote presentations for the C-suites.
- Establish cooperative working relationships with colleagues, wider teams, customers, and industry partners. In particular, this role works in a matrix team environment, with co-owners of different aspects of a project and requires cooperative teamwork.
- Communicate effectively, in the English language, with individuals in a face-to-face, one-on-one or group setting, or by video conference.
Required Skills And Experience
- A degree in writing, communication, language, marketing, or similar experience (creative writing examples mandatory). No degree but applicable experience is acceptable.
- 5-Years or more of writing or content management experience (links to published work would be advantageous).
- Experience with content management platforms like HubSpot would be a plus.
- Social media user (across all channels).
- Critical reading and thinking skills. An interest in current events and a general thirst for knowledge. A growth mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as a strong team player, highly collaborative, and leadership skills a must. High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated attention to detail. Highly organized.
- Strong listening and presentation skills. Creativity, Resourcefulness, Flexibility, and Motivation.
- Well-organized and able to work with minimal supervision and in a dynamic work environment.
