2 PERSON **Job Title:** NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Inspector **Overview:** An NDT Inspector is responsible for evaluating the integrity and quality of materials, components, and structures without causing damage. They utilize specialized testing techniques to detect flaws, discontinuities, or defects that could compromise safety or performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct non-destructive testing (such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, eddy current, and visual inspections) on various materials and components. - Interpret and evaluate test results to determine the presence of defects or irregularities. - Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, procedures used, and recommendations. - Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. - Calibrate and maintain testing equipment regularly. - Collaborate with engineers, quality control teams, and clients to resolve inspection issues. - Maintain accurate records of inspections, certifications, and testing procedures. - Participate in training and continuous professional development to stay updated on NDT techniques and standards. **Required Skills and Qualifications:** - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Metallurgical Engineering (or equivalent). - Certification in NDT methods (such as ASNT Level I, II, or III, or equivalent certification from recognized bodies). - Knowledge of industry standards like ASME, ASTM, ISO, and API. - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. - Good understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes. - Ability to operate and calibrate NDT equipment. - Excellent communication skills for reporting and documentation. - Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including confined or elevated spaces. **Preferred Experience:** - Familiarity with digital reporting tools and inspection software.
