Job Title: Overhead Crane Operator Location: Kolkata, West Bengal Company: Navprakriti Green Energies Industry: CleanTech / Battery Recycling / Manufacturing Experience: 25 years (experience in industrial or plant setting required) Employment Type: Full-time About Us: Navprakriti Green Energies is a clean-tech company based in Kolkata, focused on lithium-ion battery recycling. As part of our growing operations, we are looking for a skilled Overhead Crane Operator to safely handle material movement within our facility. Key Responsibilities: Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment as per operational requirements. Inspect cranes daily before use and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately. Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures to prevent accidents and equipment damage. Assist in loading and unloading raw materials, containers, and dismantled battery units. Coordinate closely with production, maintenance, and warehouse teams for material flow. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of crane and surrounding work area. Keep accurate records of crane usage, maintenance logs, and load movements. Key Skills Required: Proven experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or factory setting Good understanding of load limits, rigging, and lifting procedures Familiarity with safety guidelines under the Factory Act and OSHA standards Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination Ability to work in shifts and in physically demanding environments Qualifications: Minimum 10th pass; ITI or technical diploma (preferred) Valid crane operator license or certification 2–5 years of experience operating EOT (Electric Overhead Traveling) cranes
