Description We are seeking an experienced Steel Erector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in the job market context of India and possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety. The Steel Erector will be responsible for ensuring that steel structures are erected according to specifications and in compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Coordinate with the project manager to determine the materials needed for the job Unload and position steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations Operate equipment such as cranes and forklifts to move steel units into position Check the alignment and positioning of steel units, and adjust as necessary Install metal decking and siding Perform other related duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications 8-10 years of experience in steel erection High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with cranes and forklifts Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Knowledge of safety regulations related to steel erection Ability to work at heights and in all weather conditions Strong work ethic and commitment to safety Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous tasks
