CPU STA Engineer, Sr Lead

As a Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be responsible for planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems. This includes working on circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems to develop cutting-edge products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure solutions meet performance requirements. The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, along with 2+ to 3+ years of experience in Hardware Engineering. Experience in EM/IR/PDN for a duration of 4 to 7 years is preferred. Key responsibilities of the Hardware Engineer include conducting various electrical analyses at block and top levels, driving electrical verification closure, developing power grid specs, optimizing PDN performance, and collaborating with CAD and tool vendors. Preferred qualifications include a BS/MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, in-depth knowledge of EMIR tools, experience with power grid development and implementation, proficiency in scripting languages, and familiarity with industry standard PnR tools.
