As a Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be part of the Engineering Group, focusing on Hardware Engineering. In this role, you will be involved in planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems, circuits, mechanical systems, and various other cutting-edge technologies to create world-class products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to developing solutions that meet performance requirements. We are currently seeking talented engineers to join our team, specifically for the role of CPU RTL Power Engineer targeting high-performance, low-power devices. As a CPU Power Engineer, your responsibilities will include CPU power modeling, analysis, RTL power estimation, and optimization for energy-efficient CPU designs. You should possess a BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with over 15 years of experience in CPU RTL power modeling and estimation. Deep expertise in CPU or ASIC low power design, Verilog/VHDL, and low-power simulation tools like PowerArtist and PTPX are essential qualifications. Candidates with an MS degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, along with at least 3 years of practical experience, are preferred. A strong understanding of low power minimization techniques, experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills are advantageous qualities for this role. As an RTL Power Engineer, your roles and responsibilities will involve estimating and analyzing RTL power for CPU modules, optimizing power throughout the design stages, creating comprehensive CPU power models, and automating power estimation/analysis flows using scripting languages. You will collaborate with various teams to achieve power, performance, and area tradeoffs while ensuring peak CPU performance within defined limits. The minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related fields, with at least 4 years of Hardware Engineering experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience or a PhD with 2+ years of experience in Hardware Engineering are also acceptable.
