The role The PowerVR team produce the world's leading family of ultra-low power GPU IP cores. And we are scaling our GPU Automotive team and are looking for GPU experts to help define and execute next generation Automotive GPU cores. Reporting to the Automotive Segment Lead of GPU Hardware Engineering, we are looking for an individual with a proven track record in GPU design and GPU technical leadership roles. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership to Imagination GPU projects, influencing the Imagination GPU micro-architecture and product requirements and the delivery of our GPU roadmap. You will: Be a key member of the Project Leadership team ensuring the successful planning, execution and delivery of Imagination GPU IPs Be accountable for the on-target delivery of Imagination GPU products meeting the agreed product requirements Provide technical leadership to the Imagination GPU IP team Define the micro-architecture of Imagination GPU IP, in collaboration with the GPU Architecture team Ensure the correctness and quality of design specifications and customer technical documentation Support and influence product definition taking into consideration the commercial opportunities and engineering constraints Technical co-ordination with all internal GPU IP stakeholders Participate in customer meetings, both pre and post-sales Foster innovation and promote and drive best engineering practises within the project team Support activities around future roadmap features and performance requirements Work with the Imagination GPU Architecture and Research teams on technology pipelines Assist with the recruitment of engineering talent About you Committed to making your customers, stakeholders and colleagues successful, youre an excellent communicator, listener and collaborator who builds trusted partnerships by delivering what you say, when you say. You'll have: Proven track record of major technical lead roles in GPU or CPU or similar complex IP development, from initial concept to final release Expert knowledge in defining and implementing complex micro-architectures Detailed knowledge of IP development flows including design, verification, and customer deliverables Experience in partner interactions and you are comfortable with driving technical conversations with external parties Significant experience in leading engineering teams in a global, multi-location environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and inspire the engineering team Be able to operate in a dynamic environment and support decision making processes that set the direction of the engineering team Able to demonstrate effective critical analysis and proven decision-making skills, with the capability to present complex ideas in simple terms You might also have: Experience in developing safety critical hardware systems. Understanding of functional safety standards such as ISO26262 and ASIL process development. Hands-on experience on GPU/CPU verification and related challenges Experience in various project management methodologies
