How you'll spend your time: Reviewing financial statements of commercial and financial service clients for compliance with professional and Firm standards, including engagement team interaction. Reviewing working papers and complex accounting transactions for completeness and accuracy. Creating and implementing specific proactive Firm-wide policies and concepts that continuously improve the quality of our Audit and Accounting practice. Assisting in the planning and execution of various projects to provide support in connection with our internal inspections and targeted binder inspections. Assisting with other specific technical projects as requested, such as independence matters, research projects, Quality Control Document revisions, training initiatives, etc. Demonstrating competency of technical skills, work quality, and the application of professional and Firm standards. Promoting and monitoring compliance with regulations and ethical standards set forth by the Firm and other governing bodies. Developing professionally through reading, attending trainings/seminars/CPE, and accepting challenging projects. Understanding general business trends and how they may relate to client needs/issues. To qualify for the role you must have: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA Licensure (or international equivalent). Excellent current technical GAAP and GAAS knowledge; possession of current CPE reflecting up-to-date technical knowledge. Experience with commercial entities, financial services entities, and employee benefit plan audits. Ability to research complex accounting and auditing issues, including GAAP, GAAS, SSARS (compilation and review), SEC, and PCAOB regulations. Knowledge of independence standards and quality control standards of the AICPA. Experience with SEC and PCAOB filings. Willingness to go above and beyond. This remote position is ideal for a candidate based in India, looking to contribute to U.S. tax projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of U.S. tax laws and will be responsible for reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, and assisting in tax planning for both business and individual clients. Key Responsibilities: Review individual, business, and non-profit tax returns for accuracy and compliance with U.S. tax laws. Conduct thorough tax research to resolve complex tax return issues. Provide year-round tax planning services for both individual and business clients. Stay current with Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements. Collaborate with our marketing team to contribute to client newsletters and blog writing. Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required. Responsibilities: • Analyze and evaluate workers's compensation claim payments using client proprietary software, systems and tools. Use payment documentation provided by payers to determine if the medical provider has been reimbursed in compliance with the applicable state workers compensation fee schedule and/or PPO contract. Research, request and acquire all pertinent medical records, implant manufacturers invoices and any other supporting documentation necessary and then submit with hospital claims to insurance companies to ensure prompt correct claims reimbursement. Conduct timely and thorough telephone follow-up with payers to ensure claims with supporting documentation have been received and facilitate prompt reimbursement. Prepare correct Workers Comp initial bill packet or appeal letter using Client systems tools and submit with all necessary supporting documentation to insurance companies. Other duties as required. Education: Diploma / Bachelors Degree in any discipline. Experience: • Experience working for a US based BPO OR US healthcare insurance industry experience OR a similar experience recommended. • Competent in MS Office Suite and Windows applications.
