We are looking for an experienced Mainframe CIS Infra CICS Chief with deep expertise in CICS software installation, customization, and administration in large data-sharing environments. The role involves managing and optimizing CICSplex systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security, while providing technical leadership in CICS infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Install, customize, and maintain mainframe CICS software in large-scale data-sharing environments. Manage and optimize CICSplex environments using CICS Explorer . Define and manage resource definitions and dependencies , ensuring system stability. Work with Coupling Facility (CF) structures in business-critical applications. Perform problem determination and troubleshooting using tools like Omegamon, Fault Analyzer, IPCS (dump analysis) . Clone and sunset CICS regions as per business requirements. Implement and monitor CICS security policies using RACF . Analyze SMF 110 records for performance tuning and issue resolution. Ensure high availability and compliance with ITIL processes. Automate CICS events using CICSplex RTA and system automation tools on z/OS. Work with vendor and z/OS tools such as SDSF, RMF , and others for system performance and monitoring. Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of hands-on experience in installing/customizing CICS software. 5+ years managing CICSplex and CICS Explorer . Strong expertise in CICS resource definitions, CF structures, and SMF analysis . Solid understanding of CICS security (RACF) and ITIL-aligned operations. Skilled in Omegamon, Fault Analyzer, IPCS dump analysis . Proven experience with CICS region cloning/sunsetting . Knowledge of high availability systems and automation in mainframe environments. Exposure to multiple vendor and z/OS tools (SDSF, RMF, etc.). Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
