ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to and meet with clients walking into Navikarana Center who are in need of wellness support. Clients may be referred by a doctor, therapist, organization, institution, family, friends and self-referrals.
• Facilitate Counseling sessions for individual clients or a group and educate them about Navikarans offerings.
• Assess and evaluate the clients in need of support and communicate those  needs to the centre’s  administrators when appropriate.
• Create Wellness Plans, when necessary, to communicate client’s wellness needs to the administrators
• Develop recommendations and interventions for individual clients or for the group.
• Maintain timely and accurate records of client interaction and communication, including communication with the consulting doctors, terapist or visiting specialists
• Maintain open communication with the therapist, dietitian  and administrators  in the center regarding a client’s Wellness needs.
• Cross-sell all Navikarana offerings.
• Develop and maintain safety procedures in the centre
• Normalize gut health challenges through campus-wide Wellness campaigns and seminars

JOB BRIEF

Counselor plays one of the key roles in the Navikarana’s wellness Center. Navikarana would welcome candidates with the following skills.

• Empathy and understanding
• A non-judgemental attitude
• Patience and a calm manner
• Ability to relate to and adapt communication style to suit a wide range of people

Preferred candidate profile

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree, or counseling
• Aptitude to empathize with clients and help them open up
• Able to organize and manage large amounts of files, schedules, dates, and information
