The work location for this position is Lalru, District Mohali, situated between Ambala and Chandigarh cities. Knock on Wood is currently in search of a skilled Costing Officer with a solid background in the furniture industry. As a Costing Officer, you will be responsible for the creation, management, and maintenance of accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for furniture products, as well as the calculation of detailed production costs. Your role will be crucial in assisting the company in controlling expenses, enhancing profitability, and ensuring smooth operations by providing precise cost data and material requirements. Your key responsibilities will include developing and updating accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all furniture products, analyzing costs for materials, labor, and overhead to determine total production costs, collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate BOMs, evaluating vendor pricing, monitoring cost variations during production, preparing cost estimates, maintaining a comprehensive database of costs, and supporting accurate product pricing strategies. To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a BOM and costing role within the furniture manufacturing industry. Additionally, you should possess strong knowledge of furniture materials, construction techniques, and industry-specific production processes, proficiency in ERP systems and Excel, attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Preferred skills for this position include experience in custom furniture projects, familiarity with various furniture materials, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
