Role Overview: You will be responsible for conducting surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures on the earth's surface, underground, and underwater using electronic distance-measuring equipment and other surveying instruments. Additionally, you will operate and manage land-information computer systems, performing tasks such as storing data, making inquiries, and producing plots and reports. Key Responsibilities: - Review information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points, and elevation of points, lines, and contours on, above, and below the earth's surface. - Research legal records, look for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyze the data to determine the location of boundary lines. - Record the results of surveys, verify the accuracy of data, and prepare plots, maps, and reports. - Be an experienced professional with a general understanding of the area of specialization. - Normally receive instruction on routine work. Qualifications Required: - Experience in conducting surveys and operating surveying instruments. - Proficiency in managing land-information computer systems. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of legal records and boundary determination. - Ability to prepare plots, maps, and reports accurately.
