About the Role: We are seeking qualified and motivated Investigators to support data collection and field research activities under large-scale socio-economic surveys such as National Sample Survey (NSS), or similar studies. The role involves conducting household- and individual-level interviews, ensuring data accuracy, and using digital data collection tools like CAPI. Key Responsibilities: Conduct primary data collection through field surveys, household interviews, and community interactions. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency during collection and entry. Use CAPI or other digital tools for data recording and transmission. Verify and validate collected information as per prescribed guidelines. Coordinate with supervisors and field teams to meet survey timelines and targets. Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality of respondent information. Provide daily/weekly progress reports and resolve field-level challenges. Support data quality checks and participate in training sessions when required. Qualifications and Eligibility: Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, or Computer Science (BCA, BCS, or equivalent) OR Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from a recognized university/institution. Desirable Experience: Prior experience in NSS, or similar socio-economic surveys. Familiarity with CAPI tools or digital data collection methods. Experience working in field data collection, research, or monitoring projects. Age Limit: Must be under 40 years of age. Key Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Comfort with fieldwork and data collection in rural and urban areas. Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, mobile applications, online survey tools).
