The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing high-speed manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on operational excellence, cost optimization, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities • Oversee day-to-day plant operations across all departments including production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain. • Lead and manage the complete corrugation process from raw material sourcing to final product delivery. • Drive efficiency improvements in production lines, especially high-speed corrugation machinery. • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards. • Collaborate closely with the Director on strategic decisions and business expansion plans. • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. • Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives. • Lead cross-functional teams and build a performance-oriented culture. • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely procurement and inventory control. • Coordinate with the sales and planning teams to align production schedules with customer demands. Lead root cause analysis for defects and drive continuous improvements. Team & Workforce Management: Supervise machine operators, technicians, and shopfloor staff (3050 workers). Manage hiring, training, and shift planning to ensure smooth operations. Plant Maintenance & Safety: Oversee preventive maintenance of semi-automatic machines. Ensure adherence to safety norms and housekeeping standards. Inventory & Procurement Coordination: Coordinate with the purchase team to ensure timely availability of raw materials (kraft paper, adhesives, consumables). Manage stock levels and reduce wastage. Reporting & Compliance: Maintain production and downtime reports. Support audits, customer visits, and regulatory compliance. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering. 5–12 years of experience in corrugated box manufacturing. Proven experience managing a semi-automatic plant or similar setup. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, OEE, and cost control is a plus. Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to understand technical mould requirements. Monitor inventory levels of moulds and related parts to ensure uninterrupted production. Preferred candidate profile Strong understanding of plastic moulding processes (e.g., injection moulding). Familiarity with different types of moulds and dies. Experience in sourcing and purchasing moulds and mould-related tools. Exposure to sustainable/eco-friendly packaging procurement. Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
