Corporate Planning & Management-Associate-Accounting and Tax Services-Hyderabad

The Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) Division aligns Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to provide business planning and analytics, expense management, third party risk management, and governance strategies firm-wide. CPM operates through 5 pillars. As an Accounting & Tax Control professional, you will collaborate with various functions within the firm, work independently, and engage with senior professionals. This role requires interaction with global counterparts and demands excellent verbal and written communication skills. Key responsibilities include: - Managing TDS (Withholding tax) and GST (Goods and Sales Tax) processes for India entities - Performing balance sheet reconciliations and accruals - Ensuring accurate VAT/GST/TDS accounting and reconciliation - Facilitating statutory and tax audits - Computing annual US Withholding and issuing tax forms to vendors - Reviewing and reporting annual US 1099 - Managing non-revenue division operating expenses, including ownership and accountability of spend - Identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies and process automation - Verifying General Ledger accuracy by monitoring month-end closure activities/entries Qualifications: - CA qualification with proficiency in Alteryx or Tableau (an advantage) - 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, tax, or business management - Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with attention to detail - Solid accounting knowledge - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS: Goldman Sachs is a global investment banking, securities, and investment management firm founded in 1869.
