Role Description We are seeking a Cadet Training Manager / Senior Lecturer in Nautical Science for a full-time, on-site position based in Bhubaneswar. This leadership role is integral to the planning, development, and delivery of high-quality cadet training programs. Key Responsibilities : • Design and implement training schedules and curriculum in line with STCW and DG Shipping guidelines. • Deliver theoretical and practical training sessions to cadets. • Supervise and monitor cadet performance, providing regular assessments, feedback, and mentorship. • Guide cadets on career development, personal conduct, and industry readiness. • Prepare and update instructional materials, manuals, and lesson plans. • Ensure strict adherence to safety and compliance standards in maritime training. • Liaise with shipping companies, regulatory authorities, and industry stakeholders to ensure training remains aligned with current maritime needs. • Travel extensively to represent the institution, attend industry meetings, and strengthen relationships with shipping partners for cadet placement and industry collaboration. • Contribute to institutional development, curriculum enhancement, and academic quality initiatives. Qualifications & Skills • Master Mariner (FG) or Chief Mate (FG) Certificate of Competency preferred. • Recent experience in teaching and mentoring maritime students or cadets is essential. • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in maritime training or academic delivery. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability and willingness to travel extensively for industry engagement and business development. • Proven capability to build and maintain relationships with shipping companies and placement partners. • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork in academic or training environments. • Proficiency with maritime training equipment, marine simulation tools, and digital learning platforms. • Strong organizational, administrative, and planning abilities.
