As an Interface Developer in the healthcare industry, you will be responsible for developing interfaces using Orion Health Rhapsody (5.X/6.X) and CorePoint. The role requires Rhapsody Associate Certification, with Rhapsody Professional Certification being preferred. Your experience should include developing HL7 2.X interfaces such as ADT, SIU, ORM, ORU, MDM, and DFT, with certification in this area also being preferred. You will be expected to work on developing JDBC interfaces, as well as having experience with XDR Provide-and-Register and XDS.b interfaces for HIE interfacing. Knowledge of DIRECT secure messaging is also preferred for this role. Understanding HL7 messaging standards, CCD/C-CDA/IHE profiles, and PIX/PDQ will be crucial in your day-to-day tasks. Your responsibilities will involve building integrations using SOAP and RESTful Web Services, JDBC database connections, SQL, stored procedures, and vendor-specified APIs. You should have a working knowledge of building interfaces to and from the AllScripts TouchWorks EMR platform. Collaboration with teammates in the SDLC process, providing feedback, coding, and performing unit and integration testing are essential aspects of this role. Proficiency in a scripting language (SQL, Perl, PHP, TCL, etc.) and/or other software development languages like Python, JavaScript, Java, C# is required. Epic Bridges Certification would be considered a plus. You should be proficient in HL7, x12, XML, and other EDI standards, as well as in FTP, File listening, MLLP, and Web services communication protocols.
