Role & Responsibilities: 1. Perform design and drawing feasibility studies to ensure timely RFQ completion. 2. Creation of 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks. 3. Perform feasibility analysis and develop tooling concept design models along with simulation models for product validation. 4. Prepare, manage and update documentation related to process changes, engineering changes and trial cards. 5. Execute Process check sheet sign-off and follow up activities to achieve Milestones on Product Development. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand improvement and development requirements. Mandatory Skills: 1. 2 Years of Experience in SolidWorks (Design of part, assembly and drafting) 2. Strong knowledge in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). 3. Knowledge of casting and pattern development processes. 4. 1 year of Experience in Design of core splitting, gating/running systems, molding boxes and related accessories. 5. Understanding of casting design principles draft angle, fillet radius, parting line, shrinkage allowance and machining allowance. Preferred Skills: 1. Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles in foundry/metal casting. 2. Hands-on practical exposure to shop floor activities such as pattern inspection, core verification and trial casting follow-up activities Software Skills: 1. Solid works 2. AutoCAD
