Job Description

The Core Maintenance Planner is a crucial team member of the Maintenance and Turnaround organization within the Chevron ENGINE Center, providing Maintenance Planning support to Chevron's Refining and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) assets. Your role will involve collaborating across various levels of the organization and working with multi-discipline teams from Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Reliability disciplines. Your primary responsibility will be to develop detailed job plans and schedules to efficiently execute routine and project work. This will entail integrating non-turnaround planning/scheduling activities with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams, as well as integrating capital project planning/scheduling activities. Your key responsibilities will include developing fully integrated mechanical job planning step-outs, cost estimates, and job packages. You will be tasked with defining job scope and sequencing tasks appropriately for efficient job execution, along with ensuring that planned activities are included in the integrated work schedule through effective communication with various teams. Additionally, you will interface with Operators, Technical, Maintenance, Construction Contractors, and Management to ensure that committed work schedules and projects are completed Incident and Injury free, on time and on budget. Procuring materials and/or outside services, integrating facility and HES standards into job plans, tracking progress of executed field work, managing scope changes, and supporting the applicable planning/execution work process will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance Discipline, along with an experienced mechanical trade background. Deep knowledge in mechanical maintenance planning, strong estimating skills, and a high degree of technical knowledge in core craft disciplines are essential. You should have demonstrated knowledge and experience with Maintenance Work Management processes and understand the sequencing of tasks associated with maintenance of complex facility equipment. Preferred qualifications include having 5+ years of field experience supporting the planning and execution of maintenance activities in a complex processing facility, prior Maintenance Planning experience in Refineries and/or LNG facilities, proficiency in Excel, JDE, SAP, Prometheus, Primavera P6, and a demonstrated track record of proactively identifying solutions to problems and developing contingency plans. Please note that Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm. Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.,
