Job Description: Typesetting: Good verbal and written communication Manage book schedules/reports. Good knowledge of Adobe (Indesign, illustrator, and Photoshop) and should be able to mark corrections proficiently in the Open files. Collation and incorporation of final corrections Good Knowledge of XML and styles Ability to work well under pressure and meet Deadlines Project Management. Oversee the entire production process from Manuscript stage to delivery of final files to production for the projects assigned. Coordinating and overseeing all or part of the publication process for all or part of a publication Proficiency with Microsoft Office(Word, Excel) and Adobe PDF Facilitating communication among editors and vendors involved in the project Supervising and sometimes selecting other contractors to carry out such functions as copyediting, proofreading, illustrating, indexing, typesetting, and printing Facilitating communication among authors, editors, and others involved in the project Proofreading. Comparing the latest stage of text with the preceding stage, marking discrepancies in text, and, when appropriate.
