Driving Innovation: Join Us as a Category Manager at CARS24! We are looking for a Category Manager to drive our car service business's growth and demand generation strategy. This role is critical in defining the service offerings, setting pricing strategies, optimizing sell-through rates, and enhancing customer conversion funnels. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of customer behavior, and the ability to ensure healthy margins across all service categories. What will you drive? 1. Service Portfolio Management Define and continuously refine the service portfolio Identify gaps in service offerings based on customer needs, market trends, and competitor benchmarking. Work closely with operations and technology teams to enhance service delivery and efficiency. 2. Pricing Strategy & Margin Optimization Develop dynamic pricing models based on service complexity, location, and demand trends. Ensure competitive yet profitable pricing by analyzing market rates, customer willingness to pay, and cost structures. Monitor and optimize gross margins across all service categories to maintain profitability. 3. Sell-Through Rate & Conversion Optimization Track service adoption rates and optimize the mix of high-demand and high-margin offerings. Design and implement strategies to improve the sell-through rate of services across digital and offline channels. Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to refine promotions, discounts, and bundled offerings to increase conversions. 4. Traffic & Conversion Funnel Management Analyze and optimize the customer journey from service discovery to booking confirmation. Leverage website/app data and customer feedback to improve user experience and reduce drop-offs. Work with the product and technology teams to enhance the digital booking experience and service discovery. 5. Performance Monitoring & Data-Driven Decision Making Track and analyze key KPIs, including service adoption, revenue growth, conversion rates, and margin health. Generate insights using data analytics tools to drive strategic decisions. Present reports and recommendations to senior leadership for continuous improvement. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with operations teams to ensure seamless service execution and quality control. Work closely with supply chain and vendor management teams to maintain cost efficiencies. Align with marketing and customer success teams to drive customer acquisition and retention strategies. What are we looking for? Minimum of 7 years of experience in category management, with MBA from tier-1 institute Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO), and customer analytics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, work cross-functionally, and drive data-backed decisions. In-depth knowledge of process optimization, project management, and change management.
