Job Description

Role Overview: As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for various tasks including designing electrical drawings, programming PLCs and ROBOTs, managing electrical cabinet builds, selecting components, training internal teams, identifying system deficiencies, and more. Your role will also involve extensive travel for installation and commissioning purposes. Key Responsibilities: - Design and draw electrical drawings using 2D CAD / EPLAN - Architect, write, and debug organized and documented PLC code, HMI & ROBOT programs - Generate HMI screens for complex machinery and provide troubleshooting documentation - Manage electrical cabinet builds and field wiring - Select and size electrical and electromechanical components - Train internal team on supporting automated equipment - Identify, develop, and design control panels and suggest improvements - Report performance trends/issues, recommend solutions, and develop SOPs - Define control system maintenance requirements and instrumentation deficiencies - Assist in creating meaningful alarms and periodically check their effectiveness - Debug machines at shop, site & online - Prepare reports and documentation as required - Stay updated with latest technologies and train colleagues or juniors as required - Travel extensively for Installation & Commissioning Qualifications Required: - Diploma in (EEE or Mechatronics or EIE) - B.E in (EEE or Mechatronics or EIE or Robotics and Automation) - Minimum 3 years of experience in both PLC and ROBOT programming - Skills in PLC programming, ROBOT programming (ABB, FANUC) - Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell RS, Vision, studio, and Ignition SCADA system - Proficiency in creating detailed schematics and models in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) - Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases - Knowledge of ProfiNET, Modbus tcp/IP, Ethernet IP, Kepware, Text-based programming (C, C++, Python) - Strong data and system analysis, troubleshooting, teamwork, verbal and written communication skills - Excellent organization skills, persistence, good judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a dynamic, collaborative, and team-oriented approach - Experience in industrial control systems design, operation, and maintenance Note: This job involves full-time work with 75% travel requirement.,
