As an Electrical Design Engineering Professional with 6 to 8 years of experience, you will be responsible for various aspects of electrical design. This includes tasks such as load sizing, transformer sizing, cable sizing, generator sizing, battery charger & battery sizing, earthing calculation, lightning protection calculation, and conductor sizing calculation for Plant & Switchyard. Additionally, you will prepare single line diagrams (SLD), lighting layouts, lightning layouts, earthing layouts, and cable routing layouts for Plant & Switchyard. You will also be involved in preparing switchyard layouts and electrical switchgear room layouts. Your role will also entail working on the protection system of electrical equipment such as transformers, motors, busbars, and DG sets. This includes calculations for earthing systems, lightning protection systems, and lighting systems as per IS/IEC/IEEE standards. You will be responsible for the preparation of power cable, control cable, and interconnection schedules for Plant & Switchyard. Moreover, you will be involved in preparing specifications, data sheets for various electrical equipment, reviewing vendor drawings, and documents, and conducting technical bid analysis. Having knowledge of Electrical Engineering Codes & standards (IS/IEC/IEEE) is essential for this role. You will also be required to perform power system studies including short circuit study, load flow study, and motor starting study using ETAP. Furthermore, candidates must be open to traveling to various project sites, client, and consultant offices for document approval and resolution of site technical issues during project execution.
