Responsibilities The key roles and responsibilities of the Planning Engineer include: Addressing all planning requirements on assigned projects. Addressing all progress monitoring functions on assigned projects Contribute to the improvement of existing planning and progress monitoring systems Ensure project controls are established and maintained on all projects Review of contractor programmes in accordance with the contract Provide assessment of Extension of Time claims Contribute to the programme sections with Monthly Reports Ensure all key issues are communicated effectively to Engineers / PMs Compile and maintain records of construction productivity data Provide contract administration support as required. Assist in the preparation of Engineers Determinations Assist with the review Interim Payment Schedules of contractor and vendors Provide support for the establishment of project resource schedules Assist with the preparation and review of future bids Developing project master schedule, updating, monitoring and reviewing contractor construction schedules, submittals, material delivery, procurement logs and daily follow-up in addition to the necessary productivity measurement studies and associated corrective measures. Participating in contract administration Relationships The role will require liaison with the Site Managers, Resident Engineers, Project Controls Administrator, Contract Administrators, the Business Support Manager and the Design and estimation Unit. Preferred: Exposure/Experience of Lean Construction Management Principles Conducted last Planner activity and applied TAKT Planning Methods.
