TMT Rebar Mill of 0.2 MTPA 4 X 8 mm Slit Mill Green Field Project 100 KL per hour ETP & STP Plant by Hyper Filtration Green Field Project Project Management, Erection & Commissioning (Rolling mill - long product) Rolling mill conceptualization, configurations, product mix finalization with basic and detailed engineering. Commissioning of mills consisting of Horizontal-Vertical configuration continuous mill having cooling bed with high-speed rotary drum, braking slide, and twin channel. Coordination with site erection activities alongside site engineers. Troubleshooting problems during commissioning and providing immediate solutions to run the mill smoothly. Incorporating design-related changes in drawings for future projects. Responsible for installation and commissioning of a new rolling mill comprising of hot rolling (20 tons/hr), project management, execution, design, sourcing of equipment, operation, QC, logistics. Managing multiple production facilities and executing steel mill projects of two rolling mills. Finalizing requirements and specifications in consultation with collaborators. Served as Project Head (Engineering) with major achievement of erection & commissioning of 2 Nos. Induction Furnaces & three strand continuous caster. Handling expansion projects of hot rolling TMT bar mill (510mm 3hi mill with 14 stand continuous). Handling expansion projects CCM 6/11 two stand high-speed 3.5 MPM, 110*110 with automation. Designing and implementing online hot charging conveyors (length 250 meters) for conveyor caster to rolling mill. Responsible for project planning, engineering & procurement coordination, site & construction management, vendor development. Ensuring regular meetings and preparation of MIS reports to Executive Director (E.D). Project Engineering Steering overall planning, scheduling, and management of modernization & capacity expansion projects, ensuring completion within time and budget. Planning materials and developing vendors for timely procurement to ensure smooth production processes. Monitoring project costs, resource deployment, time overruns, quality compliance, and manpower planning to ensure timely execution. Erection & Commissioning Leading mill projects from layout finalization to commissioning across all stages. Studying layouts and drawings before project finalization for company benefit. Managing equipment like Roughing mill hot charging conveyor, turn table, billet transfer chain, roughing mill outlet conveyor, tilting table, continuous stand, CCS1 & 2, pinch rolls, drum and disc shear. Managing 8 stand block mill, primary cooling box, laying head, coil conveyor, mandrill, coil collector compactor, up-ender, and capstan. Overseeing load distribution system and equipment placement. Maximizing output by reviewing and finalizing mill and equipment layout/drawings. Guiding civil teams on drawing and layout during projects. Maintaining strong communication with consultants, mill equipment suppliers, and contractors. Mobilizing and engaging contractor teams to complete tasks within project timelines. Equipment ordering and vendor follow-up. Adhering to drawings, alignment, protocols, and documentation. Vendor and supplier management, project bar charts, monitoring, and analysis. Executed assignments including water softening plant, Thermax system, cooling tower, sand filter, hot water tank. Implemented automatic rolling mill (20 tons/hr) with TMT system (8mm to 32mm), improving capacity from 20 to 30 tons/hr. Managed block mill 10 stands with coil handling system. Managed automatic cooling bed and TMT systems of all rebar mills. Executed erection & commissioning of Lincoln centralized grease lubrication system for guides & chock bearing lubrication, followed by trial runs. Identified project bottlenecks and undertook corrective measures. Ensured effective site management and discipline for safe and timely project execution. Handled erection, commissioning, plant trial runs, and handover for regular plant usage meeting quality and quantity targets. Man Management Leading, mentoring, and monitoring team performance to ensure efficiency in operations and achievement of targets. Assessing available manpower skills to assign the right person to the right work. Facilitating skill development through technical and motivational training.
