Role & responsibilities Identify 15+ trending topics daily across platforms like Twitter (X), Reddit, Google Trends, YouTube, Instagram, and news wires. Deliver early-morning trend briefs by 9 AM with hooks Monitor trends in Bollywood, finance, wellness, relationships, careers, and pop culture. Spot viral formats (e.g., memes, polls, lists) and recommend angles/content pegs. Help the editorial team prioritize high-potential stories to drive clicks and time-on-site. Track emerging creator content, Twitter threads, and Reddit AMAs for potential stories. Contribute quick briefs with headline suggestions, content structure, and references. Qualifications 13 years of experience in digital content, trendspotting, or research roles. Obsessive about internet culture, news cycles, influencer chatter, and meme trends. Strong understanding of platforms like Twitter (X), Reddit, Google Discover, Google Trends, and how virality works. Solid grasp of Indian pop culture, Bollywood, digital economy, and youth behavior. Excellent written communication skillsable to summarize trends clearly and creatively. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet sharp morning deadlines. Bonus if you’ve worked with newsrooms, digital publishers, or pop culture blogs. Location & Reporting Location: Mumbai (on-site or hybrid) Working Hours: Early start preferred (briefs by 9 AM, Monday–Saturday)
