Content Platform Software Engineer

As a talented and experienced Software Engineer, you have an exciting opportunity to join our team at the IC Level 3 or 4 based on your experience and expertise. In this role, you will be involved in designing and building state-of-the-art systems, contributing to impactful projects, and solving challenging technical problems in a product-focused environment. Your responsibilities will include leading the design and implementation of event-driven systems, data pipelines, and complex distributed architectures. You will also be tasked with profiling and debugging Spring Boot applications, optimizing REST API performance, and working on Akka and Pekko-based applications for distributed reactive systems. Additionally, you will be expected to deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes environments, utilize Azure/AWS Cloud Services, and create infrastructure using frameworks like Terraform. You will collaborate closely with product, operations, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into functional systems. Moreover, there is an opportunity for technical leadership where you can provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in product companies and a proven track record in designing and building event-driven systems and data pipelines. Proficiency in the JVM ecosystem, REST API performance optimization, distributed system design, PostgreSQL query optimization, Kubernetes, Grafana, Azure/AWS Cloud Services, Kafka, Terraform, and the ability to architect robust, scalable, and efficient systems are essential technical skills required for this role.
