As an experienced IP Lawyer, your role will be pivotal in safeguarding and expanding our content assets. You will serve as the central legal advisor for our India content teams, overseeing various aspects such as originals, licensing, partnerships, adaptations, and global content expansion. Your responsibilities will include IP acquisition, protection, commercialization, and dispute management to ensure that our stories and characters are legally safeguarded and commercially viable for long-term success. Key responsibilities will include leading legal strategy on content acquisition, original IP creation, and monetization, implementing IP policies, enforcing IP rights, structuring licensing models, advising on commercial agreements, managing the content rights portfolio, and fostering an IP-aware culture within the organization. To excel in this role, you should possess 15-20 years of IP law experience, with at least 5 years in a media or entertainment company. A deep understanding of Indian copyright law, digital media regulations, content licensing frameworks, negotiation skills, and the ability to interpret scripts creatively from a legal perspective are essential.
