Content Developer (Experienced)

As an experienced Content Developer, your role will involve creating, organizing, and deploying content to websites using your skills in HTML, CSS, English copywriting, and Graphics Design. You will collaborate with web development and marketing teams to design, develop, and maintain compelling online content and user experiences. Your responsibilities will include developing landing pages, banner ads, graphics, SEO-optimized content, email templates, and video content. You will also liaise with other content writers for copyrighting work and occasionally perform functional web development tasks involving PHP, AJAX, and/or Javascript. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build, deploy, and update content pages on websites following HTML/CSS standards - Develop ad copies, graphics, and media for site visibility and advertising needs - Coordinate with freelance content writers to generate specific content for web properties - Assist in creating email newsletters, blog posts, and social media content - Develop graphics for logo, letterhead, and other designs - Create new websites using CMS like WordPress & Joomla and customize for design & functionality - Occasionally develop or customize plugins/modules for web functionality **Qualifications Required:** - BSc IT, BE or BTech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field - Minimum 3 years of professional experience in web design, content writing, or web publishing - Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) with attention to detail - Experience in managing projects on freelancer platforms like ODesk or eLance - Proven ability to work independently, solve problems, and deliver assignments responsibly - Ability to multitask and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously - Proficiency in HTML/XHTML, CSS, PhotoShop/Illustrator/GiMP, and Web 2.0 design - Understanding of cross-browser design issues, CSS/Web standards, and browser compatibility **Preferred Skills:** - Knowledge of WordPress CMS - Experience with PHP/MySQL or any CMS - Understanding of SEO standards and procedures - Working knowledge of multimedia/video creation tools This job is based in Thane and requires a full-time commitment.
