We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Western Vocalist to teach vocal music to students across different age groups in the boarding cum day boarding school. The candidate should have a strong foundation in Western classical and contemporary vocal techniques and be capable of training solo and group performers for school events, competitions, Founder's Day etc. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging vocal music lessons for school students with different age groups. Train students in Western classical, contemporary, pop, and choral music styles. Conduct vocal warm-ups, breathing exercises, and performance techniques. Prepare students for solo and group performances in school assemblies, concerts, inter-school events, and competitions. Assist in organizing school musicals, talent shows, and other cultural programs. Collaborate with the music department (instrumental faculty, choir, band, etc.) for cross-disciplinary projects. Contribute to the broader life of the school including boarding duties, pastoral care, and school events as per residential school norms. Encourage student participation. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors/Masters degree in Music (preferably Western Vocal) from a recognized institution. Formal training or certification from reputed music boards (e.g., Trinity College London, ABRSM) is a strong advantage. Minimum 23 years of teaching experience in a school or performing arts setup. Excellent vocal technique and understanding of music theory. Ability to play the piano or guitar to accompany students will be an additional weightage.
