In the role of a leader within the Global Environment Consultancy (GEC), reporting to the Director of Site Evaluation and Restoration (SER), your responsibilities encompass various aspects of leadership, collaboration, operational efficiency, and business development. You will supervise a multidisciplinary team in the UK, working closely with the SER BU Director and SER Growth Director. Your role involves providing guidance to the team, contributing to achieving business targets, identifying growth opportunities, and fostering innovation within the team. As a key figure in the organization, you are expected to lead by example, champion best practices, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. Your role also involves fostering relationships with senior staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and driving business development initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for operational tasks, mentorship, task management, and implementing best practices to enhance project delivery. In terms of accountabilities, you are a pivotal leader in the business unit, driving growth, performance, innovation, and culture. Your role extends beyond project-specific tasks to encompass professional leadership, safety management, stakeholder relationships, financial performance, and team development. Upholding Arcadis values and promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence are integral parts of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you are expected to possess a strong technical background in Environmental/Mechanical/Civil Engineering, with experience in Site Evaluation and Restoration, Contaminated Land, and Remediation. Ideally, you should have 15+ years of professional experience, including staff and stakeholder management. Your ability to build lasting relationships, adapt to changing business requirements, and drive innovation will be critical for success in this role.
