As a Market Buyer based in Delhi, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and purchasing high-quality produce. Your responsibilities will include negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and building strong relationships with vendors to secure the best prices and quality. Additionally, you will need to conduct market analysis, stay updated on consumer demands, and ensure compliance with food safety standards. To excel in this role, you should have experience in sourcing and purchasing produce and fruits & vegetables from the Delhi market. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills are essential, along with a good understanding of market trends and consumer demands. Excellent organizational and inventory management abilities, knowledge of food safety standards and regulations, effective communication, and relationship-building skills are also required. The role demands the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience in the fruits & vegetables industry would be considered a plus.
